Feng Shui is a natural earth science that reveals how people are affected by their immediate surroundings and its core philosophy states mankind must live in harmony with the environment. The space we inhabit can affect a person's mood, which can influence behavior, which in turn can determine the success of a person's personal and professional relationships, prosperity and overall well-being. This ancient Chinese philosophy dates back over 5000 years and has often been called the 'art of placement.' It may be as simple as moving a few objects in a space or as complex as an architectural redesign of an entire building. The ideal time to bring balance to the space is to incorporate the principles of Feng Shui into the architectural working drawings at the beginning of the project.
Both residential and commercial clients are often seeking to enhance relationships, redirect careers, maximize productivity and increase profits. These goals are achieved by living and working in a positive energy environment. Several western companies practice Feng Shui including Citibank and Shell Oil Corporation. The principles of Feng Shui have become increasingly popular with fashion designers such as Donna Karan and Tommy Hilfiger who integrate it into their showrooms and entrepreneur Donald Trump consults Feng Shui experts at his properties.
A combination of color, the five elements, artwork and furniture placement is used to help bring a balance to you and your environment. Living and working in a home or business that follows Feng Shui principles often leads to rewarding relationships, improvements in health, satisfying careers and increases in prosperity. Those who utilize the principles of Feng Shui live with intention and choose to enrich their lives.
Kathryn brings an extensive healing background to her Feng Shui practice with her advanced nursing education and years of experience. Feng Shui provides an added dimension to her long-held holistic approach to health and when using its principles provides her clients with recommendations for change.
